Trust & safety
How we make it safe to trust a stranger.
We're honest about what's automated and what's done by people. During the founding pilot, most checks are done by the Dovariq operations team.
How taskers are vetted
- Government ID and photo — checked by a member of our team. Automated NIN verification is not connected yet, and we don't claim it is.
- A 15-minute interview, coverage-area confirmation and a scenario test.
- Agreement to tasker rules, including never reusing old photos and never accepting prohibited tasks.
- New taskers start at Level 1 and can only take low-risk tasks until they've proven themselves.
- Each tasker's Dovariq Passport records only real, completed tasks: how many, completion and on-time record, task types and disputes. No single opaque score.
Evidence you can check
Photos, videos and reports are attached to your task with upload timestamps. If a tasker chooses to share location, we show it — labelled as device-reported, because phone location can be spoofed. A live video call is the strongest proof, which is why we recommend it for important checks.
Money
- Any purchase budget is kept separate from the tasker's earnings.
- Taskers are paid only after you confirm, or after our team resolves a dispute.
- During the pilot, payments and payouts are bank transfers confirmed manually by our team. Online payment protection will be introduced once a licensed payment partner is in place.
Tasks we never accept
- Weapons, drugs or anything illegal
- Following, watching or secretly recording a person
- Intimidation, harassment or debt collection by pressure
- Impersonating officials
- Carrying packages whose contents are hidden or suspicious
Taskers can decline or withdraw from a task that is unsafe or materially different from what was posted, with no penalty.
Your data
We collect only what's needed to run tasks safely. ID documents are visible only to our team. Bank details are never shown to customers. Location is only captured with consent, for a specific task.
What a check is — and isn't
Verify tasks are independent visual checks by screened people: what they saw, with evidence. They are not professional engineering, survey, valuation or legal certifications.
